Job summary

Jersey Mike's Subs is seeking a Shift Leader to support the General Manager in daily store operations. You will supervise staff, ensure orders are prepared to spec, and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

This role emphasizes service quality, teamwork, and adherence to company procedures. The Shift Leader will greet customers, input orders, train new hires, and ensure compliance with policies while delivering Jersey Mike's famous subs.

Qualifications

• Be energetic, hard-working, and ethical.
• Ability to understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Flexibility to work day and nights shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long hours in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful attitude.
• Input orders into a point-of-sale system and handle payments accurately.
• Work with the line team to prepare subs according to customer specs while following safety procedures.
• Use kitchen machinery such as knives, grills, and slicers.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness by clearing tables, sweeping/mopping floors, and sanitizing utensils.
• Communicate with team and management to create schedules and train new employees.
• Wear the required uniform and follow company dress code.
