State Farm is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build enterprise-grade ServiceNow capabilities within the ServiceNow Engineering Services Team. You will partner with product teams and engineers to design, develop, test, and support ServiceNow solutions, owning delivery quality and platform excellence.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement in the Bloomington, IL area with opportunities to advance engineering practices and automation across the ServiceNow platform.

Qualifications

• Experience developing on ServiceNow or similar enterprise platforms.
• Strong object-oriented design and software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs; GlideAPIs bonus.
• Familiar with JavaScript, web technologies, and data exchange formats (XML/JSON).
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes.
• Analytical problem-solving, clear communication, and collaboration with partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow apps, workflows, and UIs.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with measurable impact.
• Build workflows and automations to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and release readiness; fix post-release issues.
• Collaborate with architects, security, product, and engineering teams to drive scalable solutions.
