Job summary

State Farm is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build enterprise‑grade ServiceNow capabilities with our Engineering Services Team. You will design, develop, test, and support ServiceNow solutions, partnering with product teams and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality automation and platform excellence.

You will work in a hybrid environment with opportunities to influence adoption of best practices, CI/CD, and scalable integrations across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Experience developing on ServiceNow or similar enterprise platforms.
• Strong object‑oriented design and software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs; ServiceNow GlideAPIs is a bonus.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, web technologies, and workflow automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes.
• Analytical problem solving, clear communication, and collaboration with partners.
• Customer‑focused mindset and dependable delivery in operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow apps, workflows, and UX.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with measurable impact.
• Build workflows, business rules, and automations to improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and enterprise integrations; integrate end‑to‑end needs.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and release readiness for quality delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues; identify root causes and fixes.
• Contribute to Agile delivery and CI/CD practices where applicable.
• Recommend enhancements for performance, reliability, and UX.
• Shape reusable engineering patterns and modernization across the ServiceNow platform.
• Collaborate with architects, security, product, and engineering teams.
