Job summary

Soho House Chicago is seeking a Server Captain to supervise service during shifts and events, and to elevate the dining experience while ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to Soho House Standards.

The role requires 3+ years of leadership in fast-paced dining, strong customer service, and flexibility for weekends and holidays. You will work with FOH/BOH teams, enter orders via POS, and support management throughout service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leadership experience and ability to influence on the floor.
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments; stays calm and solves problems under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable and passionate about customer service.
• Demonstrates competency per Club School training.
• Flexible shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Works well in team and autonomously.
• POS knowledge; tips certification.

Responsibilities

• Support management to ensure service quality and report on staff performance.
• Collaborate with F&B leaders to onboard new staff and ensure breaks.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and management.
• Elevate dining experience with recommendations and service.
• Communicate allergies and risk to management.
• Finalize shift reports and obtain sign-off.
• Follow health, safety, and company policies.
• Handle guest requests and provide alternatives.
• Oversee plating and assist runners.
• Clean and stock server area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
