Job summary

Soho House in Chicago is seeking a Server to understand and educate members on the menu, allergies, and service standards, while delivering an elevated experience. You will collaborate with FOH/BOH teams and enter orders accurately into the POS system.

A successful candidate remains calm under pressure, stays guest-focused, and maintains positive communication with management and staff. Flexible shifts, including weekends, are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintains calm while solving problems.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful toward guests.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Works well in a team and can take direction.
• POS knowledge and tips certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with coworkers and management and complete checklists.
• Elevate the dining experience by discussing specials and wine pairings to drive sales.
• Communicate allergies to Management and Executive Chef to mitigate risk.
• Complete checkout reports and obtain sign-off from management.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and all company guidelines.
• Ensure orders are plated and served correctly to members/guests.
• Assist runners and bussers to support all table orders.
• Clean and stock server area; polish silverware and glassware.
• Know the menu well to confidently make suggestions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
