Job summary

Soho House in Chicago is seeking a professional Server to join our founding team. You will understand the menu, discuss allergens, and deliver an elevated dining experience aligned with Soho House Service Standards. You’ll enter orders accurately into the POS and support both FOH and BOH teams throughout service.

The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years in a similar role, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and remains hospitable to members and guests. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and solve problems under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful toward colleagues and guests.
• Must complete Club School training and meet Soho House standards.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously.
• Tips certified and POS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with coworkers and management, completing trained process checklists.
• Positively influence members and guests by elevating the dining experience and discussing specials to drive sales.
• Maintain communication with management and Executive Chef on allergies or red flags.
• Complete all checkout reports at the end of each shift with sign-off by management.
• Adhere to health, safety, and company policies, procedures, standards and applicable laws.
• Ensure orders are plated and served correctly to members/guests.
• Assist runners and bussers with expo and service bar tickets to support all table orders.
• Clean and stock server area, polish silverware, plates and glassware as needed.
• Know the menu to suggest items to members/guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
