Job summary

Soho House is opening Berenjak in Chicago, and we’re seeking passionate servers to join our founding team. As a Server, you will educate members and guests on menu items and allergies while delivering an elevated dining experience in line with Soho House Service Standards.

You will collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams, handle orders in POS, and support guests throughout service, upholding health and safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintains calm under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service.
• Willing to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Tips certified and POS knowledge.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand long hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with coworkers and management.
• Elevate the dining experience with food and drink pairing options and discuss specials to drive sales.
• Communicate allergies or potential red flags to management and chef.
• Complete checkout reports and secure management sign-off.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and local regulations.
• Ensure orders are plated and served correctly to members/guests.
• Assist runners and bussers to support all table orders.
• Maintain server alley and bar area, and keep silverware clean.
