Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Estimator to prepare detailed SPO drywall estimates from drawings and specs for Cleveland projects. You will coordinate with Preconstruction to resolve issues, develop vendor pricing, and assemble bids across contract types.

The role requires 3+ years of related estimating experience, a compatible engineering/construction degree, and strong MS Office and estimating software skills. Travel is limited; on-site work in Cleveland, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, scopes and schedules.
• Proficient with MS Office and estimating software; experience with takeoff tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed SPO drywall estimates with quantity take-offs and analyses.
• Generate labor productivity rates using historical data and project constraints.
• Develop vendor relationships to solicit competitive pricing.
• Prepare drywall bids for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus contracts.
• Identify design issues and project risks; propose solutions with Preconstruction team.
• Analyze schedules for sequencing risk and create labor-loaded schedules.
• Lead document management and distribute drawings/specs to stakeholders.
• Attend constructability reviews and communicate issues with project team.
• Develop value analysis and cost-effective alterna tives for scope.
• Prepare and coordinate trade scope requisitions and bid records.
• Assist in post-bid reviews and procure bid awards.
