Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced estimator for Self-Perform Operations drywall. The role focuses on detailed takeoffs, labor rate development, and bid assembly for various contract types, requiring collaboration with Preconstruction and project teams.

You will analyze drawings and specifications to ensure accurate estimates, manage documentation, and support value analysis while coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers on pricing and scope clarity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in detailed drywall estimates / SPO.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or related field.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Knowledge of bid processes for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare SPO drywall estimates from drawings and specs.
• Generate labor productivity rates using historical data.
• Develop vendor relationships for competitive pricing.
• Prepare drywall bids for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus.
• Identify design issues and project risks with Preconstruction.
• Analyze project schedules for sequencing risk and labor loading.
• Lead document management and distribute to stakeholders.
• Attend constructability reviews and communicate issues.
