Job summary

Foothills Child Development Center in Easley, SC is seeking a Lead Teacher to support School Age children. You will prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans and implement curriculum weekly while maintaining a safe, organized classroom.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and an associate or bachelor's degree; background checks are required. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:30am–6:30pm with competitive pay and a strong benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct biannual conferences.
• Meet physical requirements and assist children as needed.

Foothills Child Development Center is a licensed childcare center seeking a Lead Teacher to support the following age groups:

To be QUALIFIED for the Lead Teacher opportunity, we require a high school diploma and the ability to pass all background checks. We also require an associate or a bachelor's degree.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 6:30pm

Compensation: $15-$17 per hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
