Job summary

Foothills Child Development Center is seeking a Lead Teacher to support School Age children. The role runs Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 6:30pm and offers compensation ranging from $15 to $17 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans one week in advance using curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans weekly across child development areas; use parent app effectively.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and well-being of each child; maintain a clean, organized classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences.
• Perform physical tasks relevant to caring for young children, including lifting up to 40 lbs.

Our Hiring Process:

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
