Job summary

The Growing Years of Greensboro, a licensed childcare center, is seeking Lead Toddler Teachers to support Two's/Three's and provide developmentally appropriate care. To be qualified we require a high school diploma and the ability to pass background checks; an associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm. Compensation: $17-$18 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate weekly lesson plans using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans and curriculum weekly across all areas of child development and communicate via our app.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and well-being of children; maintain an organized, clean classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences in November and May.
• Assist with physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 40 lbs.

The Growing Years of Greensboro is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the following age groups:

• Two's/'Three's

To be QUALIFIED for the Lead Teacher role, we require a high school diploma and the ability to pass all background checks. We require an associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm

Compensation: $17-$18 per hour, based on relevant education and experience,

Main Job Responsibilities for Lead Toddler Teachers

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
