Job summary

Magnolia Ridge Child Development Center is seeking a Lead Infant Teacher to support infants and preschoolers in a family-oriented environment. The role requires a high school diploma and CDA or higher, with the ability to pass background checks.

Shifts are Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:30pm or 8:00am-5:00pm, with compensation between $16-$18 per hour based on education and experience. We offer competitive pay, paid trainings including Enhanced Career and Professional Development, a generous benefits package

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance.

• Ensure safety and well-being of each child and maintain a clean classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct parent/teacher conferences.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs and work around small children.

To be QUALIFIED for the Lead Infant Teacher opportunity, we require a high school diploma, CDA or higher is required, and the ability to pass all background checks. plus if you have previous childcare experience!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5:30pm OR 8:00am - 5:00pm

Compensation: $16-$18 per hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities for Lead Infant Teachers

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.


• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Useour parent communication appefficiently.


• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.


• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; andmaintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.


• Maintaina child assessment and portfoliofor each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.


• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.


• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.


• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
