Job summary

Foothills Child Development Center in Easley, SC is seeking a Childcare Assistant to serve as a Teacher Aide/Floaters for all age groups. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to pass background checks, and applicants must be 18 years old.

Prior childcare experience is a plus. The position offers a 6:30am–3:30pm schedule, with pay between $14 and $16 per hour based on education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to substitute for any position as needed, covering breaks and classroom duties when staff are absent or scheduled shifts require it.
• Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff.
• Operate as a team player and help where needed under the lead teacher.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
