Job summary

Tree of Knowledge is a licensed childcare center seeking an Early Childhood Lead Teacher to support infants and young children. This full-time position requires candidates to be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, CDA or higher, and at least 1 year of experience with the ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement weekly curriculum across all areas of child development and maintain daily routines.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and well-being of each child and maintain an organized classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences.
• Perform physical duties around small children (lift up to 40 lbs, etc.).

Tree of Knowledge is a licensed childcare center seeking LeadTeachers to support the following age groups:

Infants

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require candidates be 18+, have a high school diploma OR GED, CDA or higher, 1 year experience, and the ability to pass all background checks.

Required Shift

Monday - Friday, based on center needs.

Compensation

$13-15/hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Useour parent communication appefficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; andmaintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintaina child assessment and portfoliofor each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
