Job summary

Black Duck is seeking a Lead Sales Engineer for the Enterprise/Commercial team. You will partner with Account Executives to engage prospects, uncover needs, and deliver compelling, solution-oriented outcomes.

In this role, you’ll accelerate deal velocity, influence technical decisions, and present tailored application security solutions across proprietary code and open-source components. Strong communication and security expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical pre-sales in security/DvSecOps.
• Strong understanding of application security concepts and testing methodologies.
• Hands-on or working experience with SAST, SCA, or DAST technologies.
• Familiarity with AI-based code development tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions, demos, and proof-of-value engagements.
• Articulate value of SAST, SCA, DAST and AI-based solutions to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to drive net-new customer acquisition and pipeline.
