Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works Field, in Shop location is seeking a Shift Leader to manage a fast-paced line, supervise and develop associates, ensure outstanding product quality and customer service.

Lead openings and closings, uphold safety and food safety practices, control costs and waste, and promote the marketing plan. Requires minimum 1 year supervisory experience and a high school diploma; food safety certification is required by franchise rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
• High school diploma required.
• Must pass Food Safety Certification (ServSafe / Prometric) as applicable.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication.
• Strong leadership and team-player abilities; excellent customer service.
• Ability to train and coach others; multi-task and stay organized.
• Willing to work at least 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and assign tasks, train and provide feedback.
• Ensure food safety and quality standards on shift.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure customers leave happy.
• Promote sales by executing the shift marketing plan.
• Control costs and cash handling on the shift.
• Manage line operations and back-of-house standards.
