Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Shop in the United States is seeking a friendly Shift Leader to guide a shift, develop associates, and ensure top product quality and service. You will lead by example to drive sales and manage costs while upholding Potbelly values.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting, are 18+, and can pass state Food Safety requirements with certification. The role includes competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years of age.
• A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• You meet all Food Safety requirements within your state and must obtain a Food Safety Certification.
• You have a customer-first mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• You enjoy problem-solving.
• You can stand/walk for 8-9 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts and assign tasks with feedback.
• Ensure security procedures and back-of-house standards are met.
• Count drawers and manage cash handling.
• Prepare finished products efficiently.
• Comply with health and safety standards.
• Restock lines and supplies as needed.
• Clean and maintain dining area and kitchen; handle waste.
• Operate cash register and resolve customer issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
