Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Flower Mound, TX, seeks an experienced General Manager/Operating Partner to lead operations and drive performance. This exempt role supervises the drive-in, directs staff, and ensures exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities include staffing, cost control, marketing initiatives, compliance with laws, and maintaining equipment and records. The position requires a long work week and strong leadership in a fast-paced QSR environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred.
• At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (e.g., wage and hour laws; EEO laws).
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the restaurant industry.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and coach managers and staff to meet standards.
• Oversee all drive-in operations to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Manage opening and closing duties.
• Control food, labor, paper, and inventory for cost efficiency.
• Lead regular team meetings and operational reviews.
• Maintain records and prepare operational reports.
• Implement local marketing and business plans.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and vendor performance.
• Enforce company policies and regulatory compliance.
