Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Texas seeks a General Manager to lead a drive-in restaurant team, oversee training and support for employees, and ensure safe, clean and efficient food service with an excellent customer experience.

You will recruit and hire crew, manage schedules, monitor inventory, and develop action plans to address sales and financial trends while upholding labor and sanitation laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and local health and sanitation laws.
• Leadership and supervisory practices; strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs employees to meet operational standards in food service.
• Adheres to employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Prepares work schedules; adjusts staffing levels as needed.
• Monitors inventory and places orders within cost controls.
• Maintains employee records and payroll records.
• Reinforces customer service focus and resolves guest requests and complaints.
• Interviews and hires staff to achieve proper staffing.
• Prepares operational reports and develops action plans for financial/sales trends.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan.
