Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager/Operating Partner in Grand Prairie, TX. This leadership role oversees all drive-in operations, staffing, and guest experience, ensuring compliance with laws and safety standards.

You will recruit, train, and coach managers and staff while managing cost controls, inventory, and marketing initiatives. The position requires a minimum 3 years of restaurant management, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead under high pressure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least three years of restaurant management experience.
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
• Knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations.
• Basic computer, math, accounting, and reading skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving, multi-tasking, decision-making, leadership, time-management, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead drive-in operations and employees to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, and supervise staff.
• Manage staffing, compensation, and performance within guidelines.
• Oversee opening and closing duties and daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and standards.
• Plan, forecast, and manage food, labor, inventory, and costs.
• Lead regular team meetings and maintain records and reports.
• Develop and implement local marketing and business plans.
• Maintain equipment and supervise vendor performance.
• Perform other duties as needed.
