Job summary

Greystar seeks a skilled maintenance professional to oversee routine repairs across a multi‑family community, diagnose issues, and perform quality work in accordance with policies and code.

You will manage the make‑ready process for vacant units, set cleanliness and appearance standards for buildings and grounds, and conduct safety trainings to ensure regulatory compliance and resident satisfaction. Strong communication and a focus on cost control are essential to success.

Responsibilities

• Manages work orders from resident requests and performs routine upkeep, diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and codes.
• Oversees the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and obtaining supplies.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of the community's grounds, amenities, and buildings to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspects work by service team members to assess policy effectiveness and takes corrective actions as needed.
• Inspects contractors and vendors to verify work, materials, and services meet standards.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and orders supplies within budget.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance as outlined in the manual.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
• Conducts safety meetings and ensures OSHA compliance and safety requirements.
• Provides excellent customer service by addressing resident questions and promptly assigning work orders.
