Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical, mechanical, and preventative tasks across the community. You will diagnose issues, complete resident-requested repairs, and manage make-ready preparations for new move-ins.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient service delivery within a large residential setting. You will maintain grounds and facilities, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with policies and code requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide hand tools, safety-focused with proper tool use.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair building systems following policies and safety standards.
• Manage make-ready process for vacant units including inspections and scheduling contractors.
• Set cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Inspect work by colleagues and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate purchases within budget.
• Assist in budget development for repairs and capital projects and support cost-control efforts.
