Job summary

Greystar is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to manage routine repairs across the community, diagnose defects, and complete work orders in line with safety standards.

You will oversee make-ready inspections, coordinate with vendors, maintain tools and inventory, support budgeting and cost-saving measures, and uphold Greystar's high-quality standards for grounds and facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools and be skilled with tools and equipment.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively for policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in basic computer tools and spreadsheet/database basics.
• Mathematical skills for financial, administrative and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects from service requests and make repairs per policy and safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant homes, schedule vendors, and complete inspections.
• Develop cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, interiors and common areas.
• Inspect the work of team members and contractors to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and order supplies within budgetary guidelines.
• Complete monthly preventive maintenance and support budget planning.
