The position involves budgeting, attending care plan meetings, and maintaining accurate nutrition records. Certification and MDS knowledge are preferred, with a focus on quality and safety in meal preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Dietitian in healthcare or skilled nursing preferred.
• 1–2 years of management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MDS, care planning, and clinical documentation standards.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing dietary and nutritional services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the dietary department and supervise staff to meet residents' nutritional needs.
• Manage department budgets and procure food within budget.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings and QA activities.
• Ensure menus meet physician orders and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain records of resident diet history and nutrition progress.
