Ciena Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Dietitian/Nutrition Manager to oversee the dietary department, supervise staff, and ensure residents’ nutritional needs are met per regulatory standards. The role includes budgeting, meal planning, and ensuring diet plans align with physician orders.

Additionally, you will coordinate with nursing and dietary teams, monitor meal quality, and participate in QA initiatives to maintain high standards of care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field required.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Dietician in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting preferred.
• One to two years management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MDS, care planning, and clinical documentation standards.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations governing dietary and nutritional services.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the dietary department and provides supervision to the dietary staff to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and laws.
• Participates in department head meetings and interdisciplinary care plan meetings.
• Oversees purchasing within budget and maintains supplies for meals.
• Guides diet planning, menu formulation, preparation, and service of diets.
