Job summary

Ciena Healthcare is seeking a Dietitian Supervisor to oversee the dietary department, supervise staff, and ensure residents receive meals that meet their nutritional needs and physician orders. The role includes budgeting, menu planning, and regulatory compliance across shifts.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s in Dietetics with 1+ year in healthcare dietetics; supervisory experience is preferred. Position located in Michigan with competitive benefits and sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field.
• Minimum 1 year as a Dietitian in healthcare or skilled nursing preferred.
• Management/supervisory experience preferred; regulatory knowledge.
• Knowledge of MDS, care planning, and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the dietary department and supervise dietary staff to meet residents' nutritional needs per standards and regulations.
• Manage food and supply purchases within budget; ensure adequate meal coverage.
• Provide diet planning guidance, menu formulation, and service of regular and therapeutic diets.
• Ensure menus meet resident needs, physician orders, and regulatory guidelines; update diet histories as needed.
• Maintain records, monitor weights, and coordinate with nursing for nutritional decisions.
