Job summary

STR in the Boston area is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy real-time radar/EW processing software. You’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams, implement DSP architectures in C++ (C++17+), and work with Xilinx MPSoC/RFSoC platforms to deliver deployable embedded solutions.

Responsibilities include performance analysis, system design, documentation, and collaboration with stakeholders to refine roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years of experience in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years in C++ development with real-time systems experience.
  • 1 year of CUDA coding experience.
  • Signal processing background for radar or similar domains.

Responsibilities

  • Support and/or lead development of radar/EW systems through DSP implementations.
  • Architect, design, and implement embedded software in multi-function, deployable systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements.
  • Research and lead new embedded software implementations and refine roadmaps.
  • Use tools to design, evaluate, and document solutions; communicate clearly to teams and management.
  • Design and implement signal processing and software solutions for real-time operation.
  • Conduct performance analysis via simulations and real-world testing.
  • Prepare documentation, design specs, test plans, and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
