Job summary

Ascension Health is hiring for a Radiologic Technologist at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville. You will perform high-quality radiologic exams, ensure patient safety through strict radiation guidelines, and validate imaging data in the PACS system to support accurate diagnoses.

Maintain a clean, organized imaging suite and monitor equipment to ensure readiness for care. The role requires ARRT/ARDMS/CCI certifications and a relevant education path, with a full-time day-shift schedule in

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI required prior to hire date.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from ARRT required prior to hire date.
• Sonography credentialed from ARDMS required prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Execute high-quality radiologic exams by expertly positioning patients and selecting precise technical factors to provide physicians with the clear images needed for accurate diagnosis.

• Protect patient well-being by strictly following radiation safety guidelines and monitoring for any physical changes during procedures, ensuring a safe and secure imaging experience.

• Advocate for diagnostic excellence by validating all image data and patient history within the PACS system, ensuring the medical team has immediate access to reliable clinical information.

• Maintain a high-standard clinical environment by proactively monitoring equipment performance and ensuring all procedure areas are sterile, organized, and ready for care.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One or more of the following required required:

• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
