Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality radiologic exams and ensure patient safety. The role emphasizes accurate imaging techniques, strict radiation precautions, and timely data validation in PACS.

You will collaborate with the imaging team to maintain a sterile, well-organized environment and to monitor equipment performance for optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date.
• Cardiographic Tech credential from CCI, ARRT radiologic technologist credential, or ARDMS sonography credential obtained prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality radiologic exams with proper patient positioning and accurate technical factors.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Execute high-quality radiologic exams by expertly positioning patients and selecting precise technical factors to provide physicians with the clear images needed for accurate diagnosis.
• Protect patient well-being by strictly following radiation safety guidelines and monitoring for any physical changes during procedures, ensuring a safe and secure imaging experience.
• Advocate for diagnostic excellence by validating all image data and patient history within the PACS system, ensuring the medical team has immediate access to reliable clinical information.
• Maintain a high-standard clinical environment by proactively monitoring equipment performance and ensuring all procedure areas are sterile, organized, and ready for care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required required:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
