Job summary
Sargent & Lundy offers a hybrid work schedule blending on-site and remote work. This lead role in the Electrical Analytical Division centers on protection calculations and relay settings for HV/EHV systems, supporting clients to meet NERC PRC standards.
Responsibilities include generator/transformer protection studies, relaying for LV/HV schemes, and mentoring teams while utilizing ETAP, SKM, Aspen, and SEL tools to drive efficient, compliant designs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s/PhD preferred.
- 12+ years in power system protection.
- Experience with microprocessor relays and relay software.
- Experience with HV/EHV substation protection and LV/MV protection devices.
- Familiarity with ETAP, SKM, Aspen; NERC PRC compliance evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Perform protection system calculations and analysis for diverse clients.
- Develop relay settings for HV/EHV substations and transmission lines.
- Create relay protection studies for generators, transformers, motors, and LV/HV protection devices.
- Assist clients in complying with NERC PRC standards.
- Conduct relaying event report analyses.
