Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure indoor and outdoor community areas meet high standards of cleanliness, safety and functionality. You will address resident work orders, manage make-ready tasks for new move-ins, inspect work, and support budget and safety initiatives.

The role requires tools, HVAC certification, strong customer service, and the ability to work flexible hours across the property. Local travel within the community may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by state law and be skilled with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to diagnose and correct problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills for residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine maintenance.
• Oversee and complete make-ready process for vacant homes, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas.
• Inspect work by others and by contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate supplies with the Community Manager.
• Complete monthly preventive maintenance procedures.
• Assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-control efforts through efficient use of parts and tools.
• Lead safety meetings and stay compliant with OSHA requirements.
• Provide responsive service and respond to resident questions and concerns.
