Job summary

Kauai Mechanical, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects on Kauai from award through closeout. You will own project plans, safety, schedule, cost, and quality to meet client expectations.

Responsibilities include planning, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout, while coordinating with the Installations Dept Manager, foremen, and field teams. Proficiency with Procore and Bluebeam is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical construction project management experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors, RFIs, and submittals.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned commercial mechanical projects from award through final closeout.
• Review contracts and docs to identify scope, risk, and feasibility.
• Manage submittals and RFIs; track approvals and schedule impacts.
• Lead change management and negotiate with GC/Owner.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate with trades and owners.
• Manage project financials, budgets, and gross profit reporting.
• Lead vendor/buyout, coordinate with Warehouse, track long-lead items.
• Prepare monthly payments and track receivables; closeout support.
