Job summary

Kauai Mechanical is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from award through closeout. You will oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, safety, quality, and team coordination to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery of complex HVAC projects.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of mechanical construction PM experience, strong knowledge of HVAC systems, and proven ability to manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders with GCs and owners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical construction project management experience or equivalent.
• Experience managing commercial HVAC, refrigeration, or plumbing construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, submittals, and control drawings.
• Experience with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and AIA billing (or equivalent).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with GC, owners, and architects.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned commercial mechanical projects from contract award through final closeout.
• Manage submittals and coordinate approvals with engineers, GCs, and owners.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; look ahead 2–4 weeks for coordination.
• Own project financials including budgets, costs, and gross margin reporting.
• Lead project buyout, select vendors, and manage long‑lead items.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with all applicable standards.
