Job summary

Matrix PDM Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer I to lead design and analysis for field projects and fabrication offices. You will be part of a project team from inception through construction completion and may act as a discipline lead for projects, coordinating with engineers, designers, and external resources.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, proficiency with IEEE/NEC/NESC standards, and the ability to manage scopes, budgets, and schedules.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required; MS degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. If not licensed, FE with intent to obtain PE within a year.
• 6+ years related engineering experience required.
• Strong skill set in development of complete electrical power distribution construction drawing and specification packages.
• Proficiency in IEEE, NEC, and NESC standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert level design and analysis for field projects and fabrication offices.
• Lead projects or act as discipline lead for projects.
• Prepare project documents and ensure proper checking.
• Coordinate tasks with engineers, designers, and external resources.
• Manage scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
