Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the production floor, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across shifts.

You will lead hourly workers, coordinate with Operations Managers, perform safety audits, train staff, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining HACCP and USDA standards.

Relocation assistance may be available; this role requires adaptability to fast-paced conditions and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading training, coaching, or mentoring staff.
• Strong oral and written communication; problem-solving for complex issues.
• Motivating and coaching employees to peak performance in a positive environment.
• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and adapt to fast-paced conditions.
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Safety and compliance through daily inspections and audits.
• Maintain product quality by following safety plans and SOPs.
• Track yields, efficiencies, and variances to improve workflows.
• Lead hourly employees; conduct monthly line meetings and floor walks.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs while upholding quality.
