Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations on the plant floor. You will supervise hourly staff, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and drive continuous improvement across shifts. You’ll train and coach teammates, lead monthly line meetings, and coordinate with operations to meet production targets and standards.

Relocation package is available. Willingness to travel up to 5% and the ability to work long hours including weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 2+ years' experience, or equivalent.
• Experience leading and mentoring staff, or managing a process or project.
• Strong written and verbal communication with solid analytical and math abilities.
• Proven ability to motivate, train, and coach teams to peak performance.
• Willing to work long hours, weekends, and travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production safety and compliance, HACCP and USDA regulations.
• Maintain product quality by enforcing Food Safety and Quality plans and SOPs.
• Track yields, efficiencies, variances; work to improve workflows and reduce downtime.
• Lead hourly production employees; run monthly line meetings and daily floor walks.
• Analyse performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
