Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own a critical product area and drive the design strategy across our portfolio for public safety software. You will partner with Product and Engineering, shape the product vision, and translate dispatcher and first responder needs into intuitive tools across desktop and mobile platforms.

This remote-friendly role offers exposure to a nationwide team and opportunities to influence design culture, systems thinking, and craft across the Mark43 product

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional product design experience with ownership of shipped software.
• Experience leading design for a substantial product area.
• Strong product judgment across customer needs and strategy.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative research.
• Excellent interaction and visual design skills.
• Experience in public safety or mission-critical software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set the design direction for a critical product area with a clear vision.
• Balance user needs, tech constraints, and business priorities.
• Design across dispatch workstations to mobile apps.
• Raise design quality and contribute to design system.
• Present product vision to customers and senior leaders.
• Explore AI and emerging tech to improve workflows.
• Refine interactions and ensure solid handoffs with engineering.
