Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own a critical product area within our portfolio. You will partner with Product and Engineering to decide problems to solve and define how the experience evolves for first responders and public safety professionals.

You will influence the broader product design approach across dispatch, records, analytics, and mobile apps, shaping craft, systems thinking, and design leadership while delivering exceptional shipped products.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional product design experience with ownership on shipped software products.
• Track record leading design for a substantial product area from discovery through shipped outcomes.
• Strong judgment across customer needs, product strategy, interaction design, and execution.
• Deep experience with qualitative and quantitative research to inform decisions.
• Excellent interaction and visual design skills with a high bar for craftsmanship.
• Ability to clearly persuade customers, peers, and senior leadership on design decisions.
• Experience in public safety, law enforcement, fire or EMS software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set design direction for a critical product area and create a clear vision for its evolution.
• Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities in tradeoffs.
• Design across devices and environments, from dispatch workstations to mobile apps.
• Improve design quality by contributing to design systems and patterns.
