Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own a critical product area and guide the design strategy across the portfolio used by first responders. You will partner with Product and Engineering to decide which problems to solve and how to solve them, while shaping the design culture across the team.

You will influence product direction, lead cross-functional teams, and explore how AI and emerging tech can improve public safety workflows.

Qualifications

10+ years of professional product design experience with ownership on shipped software products.
5+ years designing complex enterprise SaaS products or similarly sophisticated systems and workflows.
Track record leading design for a substantial product area from discovery through shipped outcomes.
Strong product judgment across customer needs, strategy, interaction design, and execution.
Experience partnering with Product and Engineering leaders without formal authority.
Excellent interaction and visual design skills with high craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Set design direction for a critical product area and create a clear vision for the experience.
Lead end-to-end initiatives from discovery through delivery with cross-functional teams.
Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities in design decisions.
Translate high-stakes workflows for first responders into intuitive experiences across devices.
Contribute to design systems and patterns and mentor other designers.
