Job summary

Thomson Reuters Foundation is seeking an experienced Lead/#1 Press Operator in Eagan, Minnesota to supervise the production line on the Core Publishing Solutions team. The role includes operating offset and digital presses and training crew members, with a $2,500 signing bonus after 90 days.

2nd shift 2:30p-10:30p with possible overtime and occasional weekend shifts. Candidates with Lean and continuous improvement experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher.
• Vocational/technical degree strongly preferred.
• Experience leading and training others.
• Experience with industrial production machinery.
• Lean and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Strong mechanical/technical troubleshooting and decision-making.
• Good communication across shifts and departments.
• Proven experience as a trainer.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, work direction and training to the crew to optimize overall performance.
• Ensure the line runs smoothly and produces a quality product for customers; lead Tier 1 meetings and Gemba Walk discussions to drive improvements.
• Train crew members who are temps or transferring from other areas to support workload.
• Motivate others and foster a collaborative team environment.
