Job summary

Thomson Reuters in Eagan, MN seeks an experienced Lead/#1 Press Operator to lead the production line on our Core Publishing Solutions team. You will operate state-of-the-art offset and digital presses, supervise the crew, and drive continuous improvement.

You’ll mentor staff, coordinate shift activities, and ensure quality output. A signing bonus of $2,500 is available after 90 days in role, with additional shift differentials and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Experience leading and training others.
• Industrial setting with production machinery experience.
• Strong mechanical/technical troubleshooting.
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement.
• Good communication across shifts.
• Ability to run multiple pieces of equipment.
• Experience on 1-2 color web and 4 color offset presses.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, work direction, and training to crew to optimize performance.
• Ensure line runs smoothly and produces a quality product; facilitate Tier 1 meetings and Gemba Walk discussions to drive improvements.
• Train temps or incoming staff to support workload.
• Motivate others and create a team environment.
