Job summary

Thomson Reuters in Eagan, MN is seeking an experienced Lead/1st Press Operator to guide the Core Publishing Solutions team on state-of-the-art offset and digital presses. You will lead the line, train crew, and ensure production targets are met on schedule.

This role offers a $2,500 signing bonus after 90 days, plus shift differentials and a performance-based bonus plan. We value hands-on leaders who can troubleshoot, improve processes, and coach a diverse team to deliver quality results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher; vocational/technical degree preferred.
• Experience leading and training others.
• Experience in industrial setting with production machinery.
• Strong mechanical/technical skills; troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement.
• Good communication across shifts and departments.
• Proven success as a trainer.
• Ability to run multiple pieces of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, work direction, and training to the crew to optimize performance.
• Ensure the line runs smoothly and produces quality products.
• Facilitate Tier 1 meetings and Gemba Walks to improve processes.
• Train temps or transferring staff to support workload.
• Motivate team and foster a collaborative environment.
