Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Lead/#1 Press Operator in Eagan, Minnesota to lead the production line on our Core Publishing Solutions team. You will operate state-of-the-art offset and digital web presses, oversee the crew, and drive quality and efficiency.

This role offers a signing bonus of $2,500 after 90 days in position, plus opportunities for career development and a robust benefits package. OT possible with shift differentials and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher; vocational/technical degree preferred.
• Experience leading and training others.
• Experience with industrial production machinery.
• Strong mechanical/technical troubleshooting and decision-making.
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement.
• Good communication across shifts and departments.
• Proven trainer.
• Ability to run multiple pieces of equipment.
• Experience on 1-2 Color Web Offset and 4 Color Sheetfed Offset presses.
• Competent with rulers/measurement.
• Ability to read and explain safety rules, maintenance instructions, and production orders.
• Able to lift at least 5 lbs above shoulder and up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly standing/walking, crouching, bending, reaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, work direction, and training of the crew to optimize performance.
• Facilitate Tier 1 meetings and Gemba Walk discussions to drive improvements to equipment processes.
• Train temps or others joining to support workload.
• Motivate others and create a team environment.
