Job summary

Fluidstack seeks a senior engineer to own the power conversion layer across storage and solar interfaces. You will write inverter/PCS specifications, lead field energization and commissioning, and ensure vendor conformance across gigawatt-scale sites.

You will debug converter behavior in the field, define grid-forming and islanded operation requirements, and produce clear documentation for OEMs, commissioning agents, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to move power conversion from specification to energized and dispatched on grid-scale storage/solar.
• Ability to write inverter/PCS specifications and enforce vendor conformance.
• Experience debugging converter behavior in the field from traces, captures and event records.
• Knowledge of grid-forming operation and islanded plant requirements.
• Capable of translating field symptoms into standard design changes without site-level workarounds.
• Clear written communication for OEMs, commissioning agents and executives.
• Professional Engineer license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead conversion-side energization and commissioning in the field across gigawatt-scale sites.
• Draft PCS and inverter specifications and drive vendor bid alignment.
• Debug converter behavior using scope traces and event records; adjust firmware as needed.
• Specify or validate grid-forming operation for islanded plants and compare to datasheet.
• Root-cause field failures and fold fixes into standard designs.
