Job summary

Hims & Hers in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Compounding Facilities Lead Technician to support the Operations Engineering & Maintenance Department. You will lead a group of technicians, perform predictive and preventive maintenance on lab equipment, and ensure calibration and documentation meet regulatory standards.

This on-site role requires 3+ years pharma maintenance/engineering, leadership experience, PLC/CMMS knowledge, and strong problem-solving under minimal supervision. Shift: Wed–Sat Days.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with age documents.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as part of duties.
• Troubleshoot machinery without supervision or direction.
• Document predictive/preventive maintenance charts and data.
• Communicate effectively in English (Spanish preferred).
• 3+ years pharma maintenance/engineering experience.
• 1+ year of formal leadership with direct reports.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and CMMS.
• Formal training/certification in electrical/mechanical/plumbing/air compression/PLC/HVAC trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of compounding facility technicians in a multi-shift operation.
• Provide predictive/preventive maintenance on lab equipment (tablet presses, hoods, air compressors, etc.).
• Document maintenance data on PM charts and keep records current.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment across the labs, including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Calibrate and test equipment to ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards.
• Maintain equipment logs, maintenance records, and validation reports with QA/regulatory teams.
• Respond to breakdowns and production interruptions to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate repairs with production and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Train junior technicians on SOPs and repairs.
