Job summary

Hims & Hers in Mesa, AZ, seeks a Compounding Facilities Lead Technician to lead a team in a multi-shift operation, ensuring predictive and preventive maintenance on Lab equipment such as tablet presses, blenders, hoods, and air compressors.

You will collaborate with QA and regulatory teams, document maintenance data, and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime, while mentoring junior technicians and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with state-approved age proof.
• High school diploma or GED required and trade certs preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Project Management.
• Able to troubleshoot machinery without supervision.
• Able to document maintenance charts and data for process improvement.
• Strong English communication; Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Able to bend, reach, climb; comfortable with ladders and lifts.
• Willing to cross-train and support other functions as needed.
• 3+ years pharma maintenance/engineering experience.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and operate advanced equipment.
• 1+ year formal leadership experience with direct reports.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and CMMS.
• Formal training in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, PLC or HVAC trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-shift team to perform predictive and preventive maintenance on lab equipment.
• Document maintenance data and charts as required.
• Repair and troubleshoot equipment across pharmacy facilities.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, and HVAC issues.
• Identify issues and develop predictive maintenance strategies.
• Escalate safety or downtime risks to management.
• Coordinate repairs with production to minimize downtime.
• Calibrate and test equipment to meet quality standards.
• Maintain calibration records and regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate with QA/regulatory teams on logs and validation reports.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and production interruptions.
• Drive process optimization and cost-saving opportunities.
• Mentor junior technicians on SOPs and repairs.
