Job summary

WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Technician Field Services for project locations across WA, ID, NV, AZ, and UT. You will lead field operations, perform testing/commissioning of protection and control systems, and ensure safety and quality on diverse electrical power projects.

You will mentor technicians, coordinate with engineers and subcontractors, and use advanced test equipment to deliver reliable results while adhering to strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage circuits and substations.
• Expertise with transmission/generation/ distribution relays and protective schemes.
• Advanced relay testing/calibration using Omicron Doble test sets and related equipment.
• Knowledge of testing standards (NETA/IEEE/NFPA) and field data review software.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for complex projects, providing technical guidance and day-to-day oversight.
• Test and commission Protection & Control systems on HV substations; supervise field crews.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure compliant delivery.
• Mentor technicians, manage site logistics, and maintain safety and quality standards.
• Document site activities using field forms and digital tools.
