Job summary

Warby Parker seeks an Optical Supervisor to join our in-house optical team in New York. You will manage optical duties, assist customers, and mentor the Optical team, driving exceptional service and precise eyewear fitting in a fast-paced retail environment.

As a licensed optician with 2+ years of supervisory experience, you will uphold Warby Parker's standards, lead by example, and ensure accurate measurements, fittings, and product explanations for customers and teammates alike.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in states requiring license or ABO-certified in non-licensing states.
• 2+ years of experience including supervisor responsibilities.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communicator who can explain technical terms to customers.
• Energetic, positive team player who adapts in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs and record measurements.
• Check finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Lead and mentor Optical team, including Apprentice Program participants.
• Maintain store systems, inventory databases, and general operations.
• Foster a productive, positive employee culture in the store.
