Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II for on-site work, performing DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers and equipment. You will handle light to advanced repairs, document findings, and operate from a company service truck at customer sites.

The role emphasizes diagnostics, safety, and independent scheduling while maintaining high productivity and following all DOT and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' related experience or equivalent combination.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months; DOT/FMCSA regulatory knowledge.
• CDL-A license preferred; ability to pass DOT physical and MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers and equipment.
• Carry out light to advanced repairs and document work via iOS TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with customers and manage parts inventory on a mobile service truck.
